Training Committee

The Training Committee provides trainees with unique access to different expertise and ensures that trainees in Canada are exposed to essential knowledge and skills in the field of sleep and circadian research. It offers multi-site training to acquire specific skills depending upon where the expertise is concentrated nationally. The program also reinforces deployment of multidisciplinary collaborations by providing graduate students with specific research projects that are multi-mentored and multi-disciplinary in nature. Moreover, it focuses on career development needs and strategies relevant to careers in academia, industry, medicine and healthcare with specific workshops on grant writing, scientific publications, ethics, effective communications, integrated knowledge transfer, multi-disciplinary teamwork, laboratory management, entrepreneurship, intellectual property and commercialization.
